It may also be helpful to liberal arts college students who need to tackle more technical subjects. The range of topics covered may also appeal to scholars who are more math savvy, though it may not challenge them.

À propos de l'auteur

Irving P Herman is the Edwin Howard Armstrong Professor of Applied Physics in the Department of Applied Physics and Applied Mathematics at Columbia University. His academic activities range from research in optics and nanomaterials, to a broader range of activities in publishing technical books, teaching research and professional ethics, and presenting technical work outside the university community. He has previously written two books: the technical monograph Optical Diagnostics for Thin Film Processing and the undergraduate textbook Physics of the Human Body.
