Synopsis

The Awesome Women series: Activists: Determination box set features three board books to inspire young readers to be anything they want to be. Each story pays tribute to an awesome female activist by recounting her struggles and challenges, and detailing her success.

Each female activist is brought to life through interesting nuggets of information, such as the fact that Malala Yousafzai fought for girls' education even when her life was threatened, that Melinda Gates almost worked at another company before joining Microsoft, and that Michelle Yeoh relied on her ballet experience to perform fighting scenes?

Readers will also have fun searching for Andrea and Beth hidden in the illustrations!
