Fahri Azzat is the managing partner of Messrs Fahri, Azzat & Co., a commissioner for oaths, a notary public, and a member of the Malaysian Bar Council. He studied law at Bristol University, United Kingdom, and graduated in 1997. He was admitted to the Malaysian Bar on 6 August 1999 and has been in practice since. He authored the Malaysian Guide to Advocacy (2019, Sweet & Maxwell). He regularly contributes to authoritative practitioner's texts such as the Malaysian Civil Procedure and Bullen & Leake & Jacob's Malaysian Precedent and Pleadings. He was also a founding member of LoyarBurok, a groundbreaking Malaysian legal blog, in 2006. He now writes regularly every Friday on his blog, From the Bar Stool, which he started on 8 October 2020. Fahri Azzat lives and works in Selangor, Malaysia, with his parents, wife, four children, and four cats.
