This book provides a comprehensive investigation into the multi-scale dynamic migration characteristics of CH4 in coal during gas injection displacement, with a focus on the following key aspects:
This study has attracted engineers and scientists across multiple fields including mining, safety, materials, civil, and geological engineering. Designed for undergraduate and graduate students interested in gas injection displacement, researchers focused on microscopic displacement efficiency, and engineers in the energy industry or specialized wellbore design, this book serves as an essential reference for advancing both theory and practice in enhanced coalbed methane recovery.

Dr. Wang received his Ph.D. from the University of Wollongong, Australia, in 2014 and his Ph.D. from China University of Mining and Technology in 2015. Since December 2019, Dr. Wang has been an associate professor at the School of Resource and Security Engineering of the University of Science and Technology Beijing.
Dr. Wang focuses on the research of coal spontaneous combustion, especially in gas injection and displacement. He is a young academic member of Coal Science and Technology magazine, a member of the organizing committee/chairman of the sub-venue of the 11th World Mine Ventilation Conference, a reviewer for many international journals, and a member of the expert group for the investigation of major coal dust explosion accidents in Lijiagou, Shenmu, Shaanxi 20190112. In 2017, he was selected as a nominee for the Young Talent Support Project of the China Association for Science and Technology and won the first prize of the 2019 China Occupational Safety and Health Association Science and Technology Progress Award, ranking first.
Lecturer Gong Haoran received his Ph.D. from China University of Mining and Technology (Beijing) in 2024. Since December 2024, Lecturer Gong has been a lecturer at the School of Resource and Safety Engineering of Henan University of Engineering, mainly engaged in research on coalbed methane production increase and mine gas disaster prevention.
