This story originally originated from Ms. Chen Ayue, a senior early childhood education psychologist. The story takes place in the Dakengkui fishing village in Suao, Yilan, Taiwan in the early years. On a midsummer night, the grandfather took his granddaughter to the beach outside the house to sleep on. Along the way, they passed by some life scenes of farming and fishing villages, such as pig houses, temples, rice fields, peanut gardens, paddy fields, forests and beaches. Through the daily Taiwanese dialogues between the grandfather and granddaughter, many interesting things about these rural life and ecology are described, allowing readers and listeners to gain rich life knowledge from the lively and vivid pictures and storylines, and discover the beauty of Taiwanese language and like to get closer to it.
