Synopsis

All text in this book is in Chinese only. Like the tablatures (Tabs) for the guitar and the bass, the Hao Staff (Piano Roll) Sheet Music (US patent no. 7,439,438) visually shows where each note is on the piano keyboard. It can help people, especially late starters, enjoy playing the piano immediately. It also serves as a tool to introduce the traditional music theory. For people who already read music on the Grand Staff, they can use Hao Staff for the so-called "more difficult keys", if necessary. HS reads the same no matter how many sharps or flats are involved in the key signature. The Hao Staff notation itself does not require much learning. It only requires some figuring out and a "click". This course facilitates the learning of a set of common and basic piano playing and music reading knowledge, through playing and studying 5 well known pieces. It also contains 19 pieces of gems which are most popular amongst the Chinese population, for all age groups. Whole set of standard notation scores can be downloaded for free, for using in parallel, and to facilitate communication with teachers and other piano players. The download link is included in the book. You can write to service@haostaff.com to request for MP3 audio files for all the music pieces included (some credible proof of purchase is required). It is FREE support.

A propos du livre

À propos de l'auteur

Jeff first touched a keyboard (a toy he bought for his children) at the age of 40. He quickly identified the one biggest factor that is keeping thousands, or millions of adults from having fun with the piano or keyboards, even when they have one at home for their children. The problem is not loss of ability to learn to play. It is not lack of passion or resolve to practice. It is the hurdle of reading music in its traditional presentation, which takes years of training. As a senior oil company executive, Jeff had no problem drawing some grey and white stripes (representing piano keys) with Excel spreadsheet and placing some music notes on them. He was soon playing his favorite piano pieces, Chopin's nocturns, on real piano! These home made scores would go on to obtain patent in the US (Patent No. 7,439,438) and around the world, and be called the Hao Staff (with reference to the traditional Grand Staff). Today, the Hao Staff is endorsed by many piano educationists and pianists around the world. While many music lovers have enjoyed the benefit of Hao Staff by teaching themselves at home to play their dream pieces, a sub-industry has also emerged in the realm of piano education, with private tutors, piano studios and schools teaching with the Hao Staff methods and music books.
