Alanoud Turki wrote this book for her son, Turki, while she was pregnant. She couldn't see him yet, but she loved imagining what he would look like and be like.

With so few storybooks representing modern Arab boys and girls, she wanted him, his cousins, and all Arab children to see themselves in the pages of their own stories.

Alanoud's goal is for all readers of this book to believe that they, too, can be their own superhero, just by following the good examples of Miss Nicely.
