Synopsis

"For this reason, I think I will accomplish something well worth the necessary pains, if I write the life of a most holy man, which shall serve in future as an example to others; by which, indeed, the readers shall be roused to the pursuit of true knowledge, and heavenly warfare, and divine virtue." - Sulpitius Severus

Written by Sulpitius Severus, a contemporary and disciple of St. Martin, this biography recounts the remarkable life of one of Christianity's most beloved saints. From his struggles against paganism to the many miracles attributed to him, Sulpitius Severus offers a vivid testimony to the life and deeds of the man who would become the great St. Martin of Tours.

This edition, designed with an Easy-to-Read Layout for a more comfortable reading experience, also includes a historical introduction to the author. It is followed by the Letters and Dialogues of Sulpitius Severus, which further enrich and complete the biography with numerous episodes, recollections, and miracles from the life of the saint.
