Synopsis

What if you've been a passenger your entire life — and never noticed that someone had to drive?

You don't have an anxiety problem. You don't have a confidence problem. You don't have a happiness problem. You have a Pilot problem. There is a part of you that was supposed to be running the show — and somewhere along the way, you handed the keys to a machine that was never built to lead.

This is not a self-help book. It is a flight manual.

For decades, the human being has been sold an instruction manual full of structural lies: that suffering is noble, that you were born guilty, that you must erase yourself to be loved, that the path to a better life is some twenty-year montage of meditation retreats and journaling apps. Take the Wheel takes a wrecking ball to that mythology — and replaces it with mechanics.

Drawing on the framework of the Ordinative Sciences — a body of research developed by the author over decades — this book gives you a stripped-down, brutally clear operating system for the human being. No jargon. No mysticism. No promises that can't be tested by tomorrow morning while you brush your teeth.

Inside, you will learn:
  • How to tell the Pilot (you) from the Biome (the biological machine you've been mistaking for yourself)
  • Why the mirror is the most sophisticated deception device ever invented — and how to defuse it
  • How to read pain as information, not as enemy or punishment
  • Why other people are mirrors, and what they're showing you about yourself
  • The Binary Switch: why awakening is not gradual — it is a single decision, made now and again every second after
  • The Daily Maintenance protocol: how to stop falling back asleep in traffic
  • The 19 Black Boxes: recordings of the most common human crashes — heartbreak, status loss, grief, shame, comparison — and the recovery procedures for each
  • The Apotheosis: what it actually means to be born, finally, into your own existence

This book is for the reader who has read the self-help shelf and walked away unconvinced. For the reader who suspects, correctly, that there's a structural error in how they've been taught to live. For the reader who would rather be handed a wrench than a hug.

You will not be told what to believe. You will be shown what to look at. Whether the mechanics described here work — that is something only you can verify, in your own system, in your own life, starting today.

The vehicle is on. The tank is full. The road is open.

Take the Wheel.

About the Author

Fabio Ghioni, Ph.D., has spent three decades inside the boardrooms and engine rooms of global enterprise — as CTO, CEO, and senior advisor to multinational corporations and governments across the Americas, Europe, and Asia. He pioneered the first Chief Security Technology Officer role within a major telecommunications corporation, and has shaped strategy at the highest levels of corporate and institutional power.

He is the founder of the Ordinative Sciences Foundation and the author of more than thirty books spanning scientific research, philosophy, and fiction. His work investigates a single question: how a human being becomes a sovereign individual, rather than a sophisticated machine running someone else's program.

Take the Wheel distills, into a practical field manual, a body of research developed over decades of seminars, monographs, and direct work with individuals who decided to stop being passengers in their own lives.
