Synopsis

Pulsewalker: The Legend of Blackass Tyrone is a mystical American odyssey about grief, music, healing, and the strange ways love can survive death.

Tyrone grows up under the influence of his mother, Esperanza, a woman whose unconventional life is grounded by an extraordinary sensitivity to people, rhythm, and healing. From her, Tyrone learns that sometimes the world cannot be understood by looking harder. Sometimes you have to stop looking and feel the rhythm of the moment.

After Esperanza's death, seventeen-year-old Tyrone leaves home carrying little more than her gold cross, her diary, and the abilities she helped him discover. His journey takes him through streets, shelters, chance encounters, spiritual crossroads, disaster, friendship, and eventually the company of the Brass Saints. Along the way, his ability to heal develops into something that neither Tyrone nor the people around him can easily explain.

But Pulsewalker is not simply a story about supernatural gifts. It is about a young man trying to understand what his mother gave him, what death actually takes from us, and whether the people we love can somehow find their way back.

Blending humor, street mythology, spirituality, music, reincarnation, and the structure of a modern hero's journey, Pulsewalker follows Tyrone as he discovers that healing is not always about repairing what has been broken. Sometimes it is about recognizing the pulse that was there all along.
