Synopsis

July 1947. A rancher finds wreckage on the Foster ranch. By morning the Army has a flying disc. By the next morning it has a balloon.

Mack Brazel rides out after a New Mexico storm and finds two fields. One is foil, paper, and sticks — a classified balloon train later called Project Mogul. The other is a craft in the dirt, still bleeding blue light. Beside it lies a woman who is not a woman. He picks her up. He will tell the sheriff about tinfoil. He will never tell the sheriff about her.

Roswell is a companion novella to Ark of the Custodians: Book I — Project Ark. The public record stays where history put it. Beside it is a second field the papers were not given.
