Synopsis

When the sounds of Maple’s town begin to disappear, one curious young squirrel decides to find out why.

With her friend Juniper, Maple follows the quiet through the village and discovers a hidden place filled with forgotten sounds: laughter, birdsong, rain, bells, footsteps, and more. There they meet Orin, the wise owl who explains that sounds can fade when people become too busy to truly listen.

Maple and her friends create a Day of Listening to help the whole town slow down, notice the world around them, and rediscover the little sounds that make everyday life feel magical.

Maple and the Museum of Missing Sounds is a warm illustrated story about friendship, curiosity, mindfulness, empathy, and the joy of paying attention to the world around us.

Recommended for children ages 5–8, families, classrooms, and read-aloud time.
