Synopsis

Every human being carries the same passenger — and no one has ever known it.

Dr. Sara Qureshi is a struggling microbiologist chasing a strange referral: an accountant whose personality changed overnight after a routine infection. What she finds in his gut isn't a disease. It's an unclassified organism — one that lives inside every person on Earth, in a version genetically unique to them, stable for life, like a second fingerprint.

Then she finds it in bones thirty-one thousand years old.

Then she finds out it can talk.

As Sara and a reluctant rival scientist race to understand what they've uncovered, the world fractures around them — governments moving to weaponize it, courts arguing it as a legal defense, an ordinary volunteer describing what it feels like to have it silenced inside him: "It's quiet." And when the organism finally answers their questions, its answers are calmer, stranger, and far more intimate than anyone expected.

WE ARE HERE, it tells them.

WE ARE YOU.

Inside Me is a mystery-thriller of first contact that was never in outer space — it was always inside us, shaping who we love, what we fear, and who we become.
