Interobserver agreement in cutaneous pathology is high at the extremes and collapses in the middle, and the lesions generating the most disagreement are the ones on which wide excision, sentinel node staging, and systemic therapy depend. This volume is built around that middle ground. Thirty chapters run from specimen handling and normal adnexal architecture through the keratinocytic, melanocytic, appendageal, mesenchymal, neuroendocrine and hematolymphoid families to metastases, inherited tumor syndromes and surgical correlation, aligned throughout to the fifth-edition classification.

• Read the syndromic signal in a trivial sebaceous adenoma, fibrofolliculoma or leiomyoma and write the comment that reaches genetic evaluation

• Report thickness, perineural caliber, growth pattern and margin sensitivity in the terms that determine excision width, radiation and adjuvant therapy
