He was wrong about his first wife coming home. He told a woman to paint the room pink and she had a son. He prayed for a boy to keep his own heart, and the boy got somebody else's. He carried words into churches that would not take them and watched the buildings come down anyway. And he buried a friend he had privately decided was not going to make it.

He wrote all of it down, including the parts that cost him.

So he ends the book with the four questions he now runs every word through:

Is it biblical, and does it lift up Jesus?
Does it build up the person I am about to hand it to?
Who else heard it, and what did time do to it?
What would prove this wrong, and when?
