A practical, pathway-led guide to the United Arab Emirates Mental Health Law, 2023.
This guide explains Federal Law No. (10) of 2023, its Executive Regulations, the implementing Ministerial Decisions, and the sixteen designated mental health forms, and shows how they work together in day-to-day clinical practice. It is organised around the sequence in which a patient actually encounters services, from emergency access and admission pathways through treatment, consent, restraint, leave, transfer, discharge, complaints, and review.
Rather than restating the legislation article by article, it brings together, for each clinical decision, the relevant form, the clinician in whom legal authority is vested, what must be documented, the time limits that apply, and the persons who must be notified.
