Synopsis

Sometimes the best magic is listening.

Mirs is the bounciest, zippiest, chattiest elf in all the North Pole. He can hop like a reindeer, zip like a snowflake, and talk faster than hot cocoa cools.

There's just one teeny, tiny problem. Mirs has no elf ears.

At the North Pole, every elf earns their ears the very same way. While his friends show off their brand-new curls and points, Mirs is still stuck with two smooth, round ear tops. Can the chattiest elf in the North Pole discover the secret before Christmas Eve?

Funny, heartwarming, and full of North Pole sparkle, Mirs the Elf with No Elf Ears is a Christmas picture book that gently teaches kids how to slow down, pay attention, and make the people around them feel seen and heard.

Perfect for:

  • Holiday read-alouds at bedtime, in the classroom, or at story time
  • Kids who are full of energy and big feelings
  • Parents and teachers building listening skills and social-emotional learning
  • Christmas Eve boxes, stocking stuffers, and holiday gifts for ages 3 to 7

Bonus: Includes Mirs' Listen List at the back of the book, a fun, kid-friendly guide so young readers can practice earning their very own elf ears.

Bring home a new holiday favorite your family will want to read again every Christmas.

À propos des auteurs

Amanda Catarzi Hengst spent years as a social worker and crisis negotiator, sitting beside children and families in some of the hardest moments of their lives. Over and over, the work came down to a single thing: listening. Not the kind you do with your ears, but the kind you do with your whole self, the kind that tells a child, parent, and person they matter and they are not alone.Mirs the Elf With No Ears grew out of all those years of listening. It is her fourth picture book, and it carries the lesson she most wants every child to learn: you do not need perfect ears to be a great listener. You just need to care enough to pay attention.Amanda lives in Parrish, Florida, where she loves to spend time with her husband Gavin, her dog Drax, and her family.
