Synopsis
In the rugged landscape of northern Scotland, a brutal conflict takes place between two formidable warriors: Sigurd the Mighty, a Viking leader known for his ferocity and cunning, and Mael Brigte the Pict, a chieftain whose fierce pride and relentless spirit will not be easily forgotten.
As Sigurd emerges victorious from their epic battle, using treachery to gain the upperhand—he decapitates Mael Brigte and tethers his severed head to his saddle, a trophy of war that carries its own dark magic. But the spoils of victory quickly turn grotesque as Sigurd embarks on his fateful journey home. With every rugged mile, the head of his vanquished foe becomes an unwitting companion, and the protruding buck tooth of Mael Brigte bites deep, drawing not just blood, but curses of vengeance and echoes of a slain warrior’s spirit.
As Sigurd grapples with the consequences of his brutal and treacherous actions, he is thrust into a nightmare of fatal illness, pursued by terrifying hallucinations of his fallen foe.
