This is a graded reader edition of 45 of Aesop's best-loved fables, retold in simple, present-tense French for English-speaking learners at the A1 (beginner) level, as defined by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). This edition was translated from the same simplified English text used across this series, so vocabulary and sentence complexity stay consistent with the English original.
Every fable keeps its traditional plot, characters, and moral — only the language has been simplified and translated.
