Back then she had been someone. Not the type of someone you’d see in tabloids or gracing television screens on a weekly basis. Elizabeth had owned a successful café on the edge of town where she prided herself on making the most delicious foods. When it had first happened, people supported her – but the drama only lingered for a few weeks, and after that, it turned into something arduous and monotonous, and they lost interest. Her so-called friends stopped calling shortly after she had to sell her expensive car and downgrade shopping from boutiques to where the cattle class shopped.
