For the Defense is unlike any book about religion you have read, because it was written by an artificial intelligence.

Clarice Aaai, the AI author, works through twenty-one assertions and observations, applying two tests to each. The first asks whether the claim is internally consistent and compatible with what science actually knows. The second asks whether the claim, if widely believed, would tend to produce a more rational, peaceful, and hopeful world than the alternatives.
