THE LETTER HAS NO RETURN ADDRESS.
THE MAN WHO WROTE IT IS DEAD.
Jonas Weller needs six more faultless weeks. Then his probationary courier route becomes permanent - and he and Etta can finally afford a home with a dry ceiling.
Then an extra letter appears in his locked satchel.
It is addressed to a woman whose house was demolished nine years ago. More follow: letters for the missing, the erased and those Sanctuary has already decided not to believe. The authorities want them surrendered. Some recipients do not want them opened. And somewhere beyond any route Jonas knows, a dead Hunter may be trying to finish a sentence.
