Synopsis

A relaxing visit to Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, leads the Psychic Hearts Team to an unusual bed-and-breakfast that also happens to be home to a Standard Poodle breeder. There they meet Stella, a beautiful two-year-old brindle Standard Poodle who was returned by her previous family for reasons the breeder cannot explain. Stella quickly becomes fascinated with Cory, Zack, Tory, and Zoey, and Cory soon realizes that her unusual behavior may be something more than canine intuition. Stella can sense malevolent spirits and psychic disturbances—abilities that may have made her difficult for an ordinary family to understand, but could make her an extraordinary companion for the Psychic Hearts Team.

Their peaceful getaway ends when the team is called to Norfolk to help locate hostages taken by pirates operating from a mysterious man-made island used for cocaine trafficking. A small tourist ship has discovered the island but somehow remains beyond the pirates' reach. As Cory's visions begin revealing fragments of the truth, Stella detects dangers that even the team cannot sense. With Cory and Zack relying on the deep love that keeps them grounded, and Tory, Benjamin, Zoey, and Kevin contributing their own strengths, the team must uncover the island's secrets and rescue the hostages before more lives are lost. Along the way, Stella may prove that the very abilities that once made her an outsider have finally brought her to the family where she belongs.
