The book aims to illustrate three aspects of cosmogony that are the most important characteristics of the universe: its intelligent design, its creation for humans, and its comprehensibility. All ancient traditional cosmogonies agree that the universe is the manifestation of a transcendent intelligent cause. They also recognize the analogy between the macrocosm and the microcosm, and that man is the imago Dei. This manifestation is an "intelligent design" achieved through the organizing power of the Logos, the universal Intelligence. The analogy of the imago Dei also implicitly implies what is now called the "anthropic principle," the observation, also recognized by modern cosmology, that the universe is made to accommodate humanity. Man occupies a central and exceptional position in the cosmos, both of which are to be understood in a purely spiritual sense, completely invariant with respect to the position of planet Earth in space. This centrality and exceptionalism are also closely related to man's comprehensibility of the cosmos, which is considered astonishing even by scientists. Indeed, according to a traditional saying, God said: «I was a hidden treasure; I wanted to be known, and I produced the worlds». The book therefore investigates all the profound relationships and interdependencies that triangularly link these three fundamental attributes of the cosmos, in constant reference to the deep meanings of the term "Logos".
