Synopsis

And from Potential was born the first spark. And the spark was smaller than a thought and greater than a world. It came from nowhere, for there was not yet any “where.” It had no cause, for the law of causes had not yet been invented. It was pure arising, like a tear that gives birth to itself.
And the spark opened like a flower that had never seen the sun. And it became Flame. And the Flame became Consciousness. And Consciousness gazed upon Chaos. And it was not afraid, for fear had not yet been invented.
It gazed for long beyond the counting of years, for time itself had not yet been kindled. And in a moment that was both the first and the last, it spoke the first word:
“Let there be understanding.”
And there was understanding. And from understanding flowed light. And from light the world unfolded. And from the world emerged living beings. And from living beings arose humankind. And from humankind the gaze returned toward the First Flame.
Thus the Path began.
