"My brain is like Teflon. Nothing sticks."
The fog. The word that slips away mid-sentence. The room you walked into for a reason you can no longer remember. You're still showing up — but you don't quite feel like yourself.
For women in perimenopause and beyond, there are real reasons for this. The hormonal and metabolic shifts of midlife change how your brain makes and uses energy — which is why brain fog, low mood, and mental fatigue so often arrive together, and why they share the same root. These years also matter for the long run. Almost two-thirds of people living with Alzheimer's are women — and for most, that outcome isn't determined by genetics. It's shaped by the daily choices made in midlife.
The Clear Head Plan is a practical, five-step nutrition and lifestyle roadmap for clearing the fog and protecting your mind — rooted in the metabolic and hormonal realities of midlife. Not another strict protocol or a 30-day cleanse you'll abandon by week two. A clear path that actually moves you forward, through daily choices that fit a real life and hold up over time.
You'll move through five clear steps:
What becomes possible when the fog lifts isn't just clearer thinking. It's showing up differently — for your work, for the people you love, and for yourself. This book gives you the tools to get there, in a way that fits your life and actually holds.
This book is educational and is not a substitute for medical advice or the care of your own doctor.
After two decades in corporate finance, Paivi Grogan found herself navigating the same fog, mood shifts, and mental fatigue that bring many women to her practice today. Unsatisfied with the answers available to her, she went back to school, trained formally in nutrition therapy, and built the approach in this book from the ground up. Today she works with women in perimenopause and menopause helping them reclaim their clarity through that same framework. She is a holistic nutrition therapist (NTM) and certified health coach (INHC) specializing in the nutrition and lifestyle strategies that support brain health and mental clarity in midlife.
