Synopsis
Every living thing has roots. Strip it of its nourishing roots and life is cut off. By thousands of life-giving threads a man is connected with the land where he was born, where his childhood passed. But much more significant are the genetic roots of his ancestors. All this in a complex, and even more, constitutes the Fatherland, Motherland. That is why in this understanding the Fatherland is the most precious thing a person has. Deprived of it, a person is deprived of life. The Fatherland refers to the notions of feelings of the Soul. And the feelings of the Soul are not of this world and have neither temporal nor spatial limitations. The Fatherland is a sacred place. In difficult moments of life the Fatherland, if it exists and a person has not betrayed it, but cherishes it, will always help him and help him out. And miserable people without a tribe and a family, without the Fatherland. And are they people? The author tried to express in verses his feelings of the Soul, arising whenever his thought turned to the pressing problems of the Fatherland, which in the current period are more than enough. Perhaps, the reader will have the same strings of the Soul as the author when he reads these poems. It means that the author's creative agony was not in vain!
