Jill Shipley is a first time writer who decided to put pen to paper to honor her dad and create something for him, his grandchildren, and other children who have gone through a loss and are in the process of healing. She currently resides in North West NJ with her loving husband and two amazing children. They are her reason for everything and without them none of this would be possible. She is looking forward to writing more, enjoying life with family, and seeing where this road takes her. Her debut book: "Through the Rain" is based off an original song her father Gene had written for her with the same title. Growing up her parents always had her reading and involved in all things music, art, and creativity. This book is a true reflection of that, and she hopes to bring comfort to anyone who needs it as they navigate 'Through the Rain'.

Melanie Darling has illustrated four published books including "The Love Lottery", "Panda my Bear", and was featured in the children's artist collaboration book "The Giving World". She is excited to see this book "Through the Rain"touch the hearts of those who have felt the pain and grief from the loss of a loved one, and hope it brings them comfort from this beautiful message.
