It is beautifully illustrated with watercolor pictures originally drafted by Daisy Hutt. The story was inspired by the author's loss of her parents and the solace she sought in nature.

Sierra Kamuda lives in Rutland, VT with her husband and blended family of five children. She was inspired to write the story after the loss of her parents and her love of nature. Sierra hopes to share her debut book, Sunshine Smiles, with both children and adults.
