Bobbe White has captured true stories from the last twelve years, as her parents' health gradually declined. She touches upon major and minor changes, lessons learned, difficult decisions, role reversal, patience, acceptance, and how to better manage one's stress, by making the right decisions. Of course, no book written by Bobbe White would be complete without a chapter on humor! She continues to show how it can occur at the most seemingly inopportune times! Yet, it is humor, time and time again, that helps improve our health. White also reminds the reader how humor helps to put life events back into perspective.
As friends, colleagues, and customers shared their own loved ones' situations with Bobbe, she made mental or written notes. She believed these additional stories were treasures and needed to be incorporated into the book. Each contributor gave permission to use a story or two. The result is an even richer collection of these universal human conditions that we face in life. Each story was intended to be brief, for quick and easy reading, a/k/a "a bathroom primer." You can pick it up, set it down, and pick it up again later, because you're probably busy taking care of something somewhere for somebody!
