Burn-Out is Steve Honig's sixth book, fifth of poetry. All poems were written during the two years ending August, 2022. Poets need "prompts." Steve describes his prompts for the collection: "plague, war, death of people, death of a dying world, loss of liberty, loss of hope." Such a world shakes loose fear, memory-and poetry.

Stephen M. Honig is an attorney, author and poet.The writer sees his life as a series of educational experiences, each creating more questions than answers, considered in light of an examination of what has been revealed of human history and its causes deeply buried in our DNA.Stephen Honig has practiced law and fatherhood over five decades. A refugee from the Ivy League, and an 80 year old corporate attorney living in Newton, Massachusetts, he contemplates the college departure of his youngest son, and his own future under the tutelage of his wife Laura-and at the beck and call of Popcorn, who has his same longevity in dog years."Burn-Out" follows poetry books "Laertes in America", "Messing Around with Words", "Rail Head" and "Obligatory COVID Chapbook", as well as a collection of short stories entitled "Noir Ain't the Half of It."
