The two teens, joined by Sam’s grandmother Nana and Maddie’s dog Sparks, are trained to become Galactic Guardian-Level Earth-Protectors. They meet endearing characters such as passionate Professor Schroom, fairies Bluebell and Whitestar, and Granny the orca, as SilverLight magically transports them back and forth between the everyday world of school and family and the various Realms of Possibilities that exist in other dimensions.

After Elizabeth's bachelor's degree, she traveled internationally teaching English as a foreign language. Arriving back in the U.S.A. she went to graduate school earning a masters degree in early childhood and special education. Her professional life spanned 40 years in public snd private settings, as a teacher, administrator and creator of new programs-often serving children and families made vulnerable to poverty. She wrote this fantasy book for young people in the middle grades, like her grandson, who are looking to better understand the environment and are on a journey to find their special gifts to offer the world. She dedicates this book to her grandson.
