Synopsis

A love-laced book about letter writing, perfect for ages 3-7 to read with grandparents, at bedtime, or before a writing or service learning activity.

Jake thinks his grandma's habit of writing handwritten letters is boring. But when he discovers who she's been writing and the special penpal friendship they share, he'll learn to write letters too... and so can you!

Written by the founder of Love For Our Elders, a nonprofit that has mailed more than 500,000 handwritten letters to isolated seniors, this picture book shares a love for grandparents and the art of letter writing with young readers. The book teaches how to write a friendly letter, a perfect resource for at-home or classroom learning.

"And when I'm not sure which words to say, I'm glad that grandma is never far away."
