Synopsis

Phillip "Flip" Marsh knows who he was.

He was a traumatized orphan, fleeing the ravages of war. He was a refugee, shuttled from planet to planet across the Universal Alliance, keeping just ahead of the murderous Phurlani plague.

Flip Marsh knows who he is.

He is a war veteran who played an instrumental role in exterminating the Phurlani. He is the captain of the UASS Aristotle, a science ship exploring the remains of the universe. He is a harbinger of peace and security rather than of death and destruction. He is someone who will play an instrumental role in building the future.

Until his crew makes a discovery that redefines the nature of reality.

Now he must undertake a new mission, unlike any he's ever done. A mission that will test his loyalty to the Universal Alliance, and to his own humanity. He will have to enmesh himself inside the enemy, and toe an ever-shifting line between fulfilling his mission and becoming the evil he's trying to destroy.

Phillip "Flip" Marsh doesn't know what he will be.

(This book ends on a cliffhanger. I'm working as quickly as possible to get the second one out. No estimate on time, though, as I have this pesky job that I have to keep going to.)
