Gavin Black, a multi-genre author from Reno, Nevada, faced a childhood marked by a congenital lung condition, finding refuge in fantasy luminaries like Tolkien and Asimov. His debut novel, "Crop Burner." has garnered widespread acclaim. Meeting his wife. Ann. at the 2014 World con kindled their mutual love for conventions and cosplay. Formerly a systems engineer in gaming, Gavin transitioned to storytelling, honing his craft under the tutelage of giants like Gaiman and Sanderson. Beyond his compelling narratives he's a compassionate creator and visionary.

Steve Gaddis is a lifelong scribbler who lives in Sparks, Nevada. He's mostly self-taught, taking art classes and exploring the library. He graduated in 2002 with a degree in Graphic Communications from Truckee Meadows Community created costumes. calligraphy illustration work in the SCA and conventions. He's partial to the works of Tim Kirk, Mucha, and Magritte, but was inspired by Edward Gorey for this book. his first attempt at a full set of illustrations
