Synopsis

Penny is a penguin with autism. She is sensitive to light and sounds. She doesn't speak much but she enjoys singing. She stims (flaps her wings) when she's excited. Her colony is frustrated with her differences. They want her to behave like all the other penguins. One night, Penny's sensitivities to the world around her let her know that something has changed. She follows her feelings and leads her colony to the Southern Lights. Her colony learns to accept Penny just the way she is.
