In 1997, before Internet cafes or smartphones, a young woman decided her college education wouldn't be complete until she had experienced Europe. She filled a backpack, bought a Eurail Pass, and set out alone to see, touch, and taste as much art and history and coffee as she could in six weeks.
Westminster Abbey, 221B Baker Street, the Louvre, Notre Dame. She chain-smoked her way through Paris's Left Bank before heading to Salzburg where she became obsessed with understanding the term "Felsputzer." (She found the answers to her questions, and it only took 3 days and one good lie.) From there she explored Rome, Florence, and the Italian Riviera where she heard the caves sing and the Mediterranean Sea sigh.
Join her on an adventure of exploration, comfortable solitude, and transient connection to random strangers.
