Tim Guditus the fifth of ten children, grew up in New York and was enlisted in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War by his father. He left the service before turning 21 with an honorable discharge and a letter of commendation. A childhood encounter with a New York City police officer sparked his interest in law enforcement. After serving as a Huntington Bay Constable and a United States Capitol Police Officer, Guditus joined the N.Y.P.D., serving in various units, including Brooklyn Narcotics and the Chief of Detectives’ Zodiac Task Force, earning the Detective of the Month award twice. Throughout his career, he raised four children, “three kings and a queen,” and has faced numerous hardships with resilience. Now residing in Huntington Station, NY, Guditus writes to honor fellow officers and the N.Y.P.D. motto ‘Fidelis ad Mortem.’ This book is the first of many stories from his life of service.
