Synopsis

'I thought my epic journey was of this world. I learned that it is inside myself.'

Spirit Walk: Journey of a Soul Embodied is the story of one woman's journey from the inferno of loss into the promise of awakenings. Author Kristen Mägis offers an introspective work of enormous beauty that affirms and honors the complex and daunting struggles experienced by many during periods of intensive personal growth. Her prayerful meditation gives voice to the spiritual journey that so many people experience yet very few can describe.

With a collection of poetry and prose, Mägis shares her walk with spirit through profound life changes. Catalyzed by devastating personal experiences, her journey unfolds through reflections on her struggle to heal and grow through loss, contemplations on the purpose and meaning of life, and revelations gifted to her by spirit. Spirit Walk: Journey of a Soul Embodied transcends the individual to speak to spiritual seekers of any age and from every background and faith tradition. Readers will discover parallels between their spiritual journey's and Mägis', for though specific circumstances are personal, the quest and unfolding of the soul-embodied is universal.

Mägis' welcoming tone reflects a deep compassion for all people and a profound belief in the sanctity of life. Through her eloquent expression of the feminine experience, Mägis shares universal stories of searching, faltering, crashing into life, seeking refuge and finding messages of love, acceptance and encouragement. 'The cleansing and clearing is not over. I sense it is a lifetime endeavor, daily practice punctuated by mountaintop journeys, moments of clarity and epiphany emerging from a seeming morass of confusion... But always, a journey of the soul embodied to experience, to learn, to heal, to find beauty in one self and to offer that beauty back to life.'

With a warm and inviting style, she encourages readers to embrace their own spirit walks. 'I implore Spirit to awaken us from our slumber, inspire us to embrace our Spirit Walk, and gift us with love on this most sacred journey.' Those seeking affirmation of their soul's journey and those curious to witness the spirit walk of another will find inspiration in Mägis' story. Spirit Walk: Journey of a Soul Embodied is a welcome entry into the self-help genre as a work that is sure to aid readers for years to come.
