In 2025, the nation's food supply comes under attack by bacteria and viruses. The fields begin to rot and grocery prices skyrocket. The Federal Government steps in and takes control, completely wiping out the viruses and returning grocery prices to a manageable level. They accomplish this by moving all fruits and vegetables into underground laboratory clean rooms and utilizing hydroponics and cellular agriculture. These laboratory clean rooms are managed by a technological breakthrough: Farming Androids.
In 2050, a renowned Chef named Neto is framed for a crime he didn't commit, and deported as a result. Teaming up with an amazingly beautiful border patrol agent named Veronica, they must find a legal way to reenter the United States to take back his life. Everything is going according to plan, until a Champion bare knuckle boxer named Santo dies, and sets off a chain of events that will change Neto, Farming Androids, and the world forever.
The world is full of all kinds of people, and in 2050, it's full of Androids who want to become people. This is the story of a Chef attempting to find his humanity and an Android who is devoid of one. This novel explores the ultimate question: What does it mean to be human?
