Synopsis

Based on the Award-Winning Animated Short Film from Enlighten Productions!

A prickly Cactus in the desert struggles to find her place while comparing her truth to the soft little poppy flowers blooming in the sands around her. After a conversation with the Sun and after some time reflecting with the Moon, the Cactus finally learns how to soften. When she opens up to look within, she finds there is always enough space in her heart to Bloom In.

Bloom In is a spirited and poetic picture book about love, connection, and belonging—reminding young readers that our truest forms of expression happen not when we conform, but when we lean into our own unique soul’s unfoldment. This magical story takes place in a dream-like desert setting with a nighttime sky full of stars and cuddly animals, making Bloom In a wonderful choice for bedtime.

With colorful illustrations and heartfelt prose, this empowering story encourages children, but especially young girls, how to find confidence in their changing bodies, confusing mood swings, and even their "prickly" skin!

Perfect for ages 2–10, Bloom In is a celebration of self-worth, resilience, and the expansion that happens when we embrace the authenticity of who we truly are in the world.
