À propos de l'auteur

I have OCD. You might call me crazy for using those letters as a credential, but I view my work as a celebration of the craftsmanship of my mind. For too long, these letters have been carries of shame-something to be hidden or "managed" away. I see it differently. After fifty years of living with obsessive-compulsive disorder, I've realized that this isn't a defect to be suppressed; it's an engine to be steered. I learned to redirect intrusive, destructive obsessions into constructive, value-driven ones. I learned to obsess over the right things. My journey began in a toxic household where obsession was a survival mechanism. It eventually evolved into a framework for living with purpose. Before I was an educator or an author, I spent my nights in the high-pressure control rooms of CNN in Atlanta. In that world, "control" was something you maintained over a broadcast, but I had yet to find it within myself. I eventually transitioned from the control rooms to the sidelines, spending nearly twenty years as a high school and college football coach and teacher. Today, I teach in the School District of Philadelphia, helping students and athletes navigate the same themes I've spent my life studying: discipline, resilience, and growth. My debut book, The Character Route Tree, is the culmination of those worlds. It's part memoir, part coaching playbook, and part mastery system. I don't romanticize the struggle or preach perfection; instead, I use raw storytelling and cinematic narrative to show how life's hardest hits can become its clearest lessons. It is my way of finally stepping out of the "control room" of external chaos and taking command of my own life. I'm a devoted husband and father, a longtime teacher, and a coach at heart. I've spent my life studying what makes people rise, fall, break, and rebuild. My work is rooted in the daily effort it takes to build momentum and the structure required to sustain it. Through my writing and The Obsession Progression(TM), I help people turn adversity into direction. I'm here to help you find your spark, build your character, and-most importantly-learn how to run your own route.
