About the Author

Crayman J. Harvey is a correctional leader, educator, and consultant with over 20 years of experience in both juvenile and adult facility leadership. He has served as Director of multiple detention centers, including during periods of federal oversight, and is the founder of Harvey Consulting LLC. Harvey holds a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, is a Certified Jail Manager (CJM), and Certified Correctional Health Professional (CCHP). He teaches criminal justice at the college level and trains agencies nationwide on leadership, compliance, and culture. His work centers on one goal: building institutions where safety and dignity are non-negotiable.
