An invitation to grieve differently
Katie Huey was only twenty-seven years old when she lost her father to a sudden heart attack. Within the deep pain of the months after his death, she struggled to cope with her new reality.
She spent the following eight years confronting and questioning the myths about grief, searching also for beautiful things to provide balm for the journey of moving forward.
In this collection of essays, Katie invites readers to witness the lonely, chaotic, and unpredictable swings of grief. Whether you are in the throes of immediate loss, or years down the road from heartache, this book will call you to the hope and healing found in quiet moments as you practice choosing joy while tending to your despair.
