Discover the magic right outside your door with Amy's Butterfly Garden.
In the bustling city, Amy longs for nature's quiet wonders. When she and her mother create a butterfly garden, a simple patch of dirt transforms into a buzzing, fluttering sanctuary. But as Amy watches the garden grow, she begins to realize this tiny space may hold more than meets the eye. As the garden begins to thrive, so does the suspense! Will Amy and her mother be able to protect their precious sanctuary from harm? What secrets does it hold?
Amy's Butterfly Garden is the first book in the Butterfly Garden Series, a 4-book collection that celebrates family connections, patience, curiosity, and the small wonders waiting to be discovered close to home. Inspired by true moments in their Berkeley, California backyard, the story preserves her mother's original voice while providing a wonderful tool for social emotional outdoor learning.
Written by renowned educator and global play advocate Dr. Stevanne Auerbach, this special manuscript was discovered decades later and lovingly published by her daughter, Amy Beth Auerbach. It is an ideal addition to mother daughter gardening books for kids and serves as an engaging caterpillar to butterfly book for preschoolers, kindergarteners, and early elementary classrooms.
