Ova knjiga je istorijski roman nastao kao plod maste zasnovane na podlozi od stvarnih istorijskih događaja i ličnosti koje su zivjele u 17. vijeku, u tadasnjoj turskoj i mletačkoj sjevernoj Dalmaciji. Danas, četiri stotine godina poslije vremena u kojem je zivio mletački vitez Stojan Jankovic, ko uopste moze precizno i tačno reci sto se tada desavalo? Kad sam pokusao rekonstruisati istorijski poznate događaje, uvijek mi je ostajalo vise pitanja nego odgovora. Dakle, najvise se pojavilo nepoznatih praznina. Te praznine nepoznatog između poznatih događaja odlučio sam popuniti 'na svoj način'. Tako su zivoti ovih likova i događaji koji ih prate, postali zaista zanimljivi pa i stranice ove knjige sadrze mnogo akcije i uzbuđenja. Zato ovo nije običan roman, vec svojevrsno putovanje u istoriju.
