Synopsis

It was the year 747 B.C., the Assyrian empire ruled the world. Tiglath Pileser III, with his cruel army of soldiers, witches and nephilims devastated kings and kingdoms, enslaving thousands of prisoners and sacrificing them to his pagan god Assur. Phoenicia, Egypt, Babylon had fallen at his feet. The nations forged alliances in secret to make war on him; however, some rulers sought the emperor's favor by submitting without resistance, offering him tributes of gold, silver, and precious stones.

Israel and Judah, once brothers, were now enemies on the brink of war. Pekah, from the kingdom of the North, had allied with Syria to attack Ahaz, from the kingdom of the South; who lived in Yahrushalayim, in the same palace that King David built but unlike his ancestor, he had corrupted his heart by sacrificing children to the god Baal; Hundreds of little ones were tied to the arms of an iron idol while the fire slowly consumed them.

Hezekiah would be prepared under the influence of two important figures: his father Achaz and the prophet Isaiah. It is not difficult to imagine the doubts and confusion that passed through his heart. The constant wars with Israel, Damascus, and the Philistines, the unconditional subjugation of Judah with the Assyrian empire, and the idolatry of his father, left him no other option than to defy his destiny.
