Synopsis
Two deadly enemies play cat-and-mouse across the streets of Los Angeles. One cop - one serial killer. One's a violent schizophrenic who hears voices - the other's a serial killer!
Recalled to duty, LAPD detective Spooky Jackson, renowned for his expertise in hunting down serial killers, faces the resurgence of his arch-nemesis, the infamous Hangman. Despite capturing him once before, the Hangman slipped through the cracks due to Spooky's adherence to the 'by-the-book approach, ' a philosophy he has since abandoned, leading to his suspension.
Reinstated under the condition of having a partner, Spooky is vehemently opposed to the idea, haunted by the tragic fate that befell his previous colleagues. It's one of the reasons he earned the moniker 'Spooky.' However, when he encounters the fiercely independent and spirited Mia, he reluctantly relents.
With an impressive track record of apprehending serial killers, Spooky possesses an uncanny ability to crawl under their skin, experiencing their dark desires first hand-a trait that unnerves his colleagues and also contributes to his nickname - that and the fact he hears voices.
