Synopsis

Glorious Killing Machine depicts a dark, sexualised synetopian world of abuse, coercion, body horror, and corporate hegemony. It is a world of constant surveillance and diminished personal freedom.

Lydia often writes futurist worlds, which she describes as Synehitopian - that is, a continuation of our current political and technological landscape rather than a strictly dystopian future. Her stories explore manipulation, control and power dynamics, and people's willingness to succumb to the rule of corporate hegemony.
