But Thron is no longer the being they once knew. Isolated and disillusioned, he has escaped his physical body to rule a massive online game, Medieval Knights, from within its very code. With godlike control over the game's avatars and objects, he bends the virtual world, and its players, to his will, creating a kingdom ruled by fear and domination. His frozen body remains stationary at the keyboard in some darkened room. Thron has crafted what is now a prison for himself, a safe haven that shields him from pain but denies him freedom.
To rescue their friend, Xin and Falin must dive headfirst into a dazzling yet dangerous digital labyrinth. Firewalls crackle like lightning, algorithms writhe like living beasts, and the line between humanity, technology, and the spiritual essence of existence blurs beyond recognition.
